You mean the resistance? It's 6800 ohms. I guess I'll try them.

None of you guys parting out discos have any of these they could yank off a truck?

Resistors will have a resistance in Ohms and a rating in watts ...

if in doubt just get a big one!

Thanks Jason - no idea on the wattage.

Thanks Gustavo. Will call Randy if Carter doesn't have one.

Carter, it's in the wiring harness going to the MAF, usually taped on the outside. White wire with black strip and a little black plastic rectangle with spade connectors on it.

Charles,

I had this in my bookmarks (when I was trying to fix the rrc).

That's called a tune resistor... try contacting RPiI take this back... I was reading the document and just realized that I gave you the wrong info.

RD953066 is an Engine Speed sense circuit.

Thanks Carter!

Pedro, see my no start thread - way ahead of you.

C, the engine speed sense should be something like 5volts. I should think a 10 watt 6800 ohm resistor will do the trick. Go to digikey.com and look on page 1966 of the catalog.

Charles, send me your address, or do I just address it to "Charles Galpin, the man, the myth, the legend" and the USPS will know where to deliver?

Yes this usually works.

Just kidding. I sent an email via the site - I guess you didn't get it? I'll resend and via PM as well.

Thanks again.

Yea I got your PM, sorry it turned into a hectic week here with everything going on. Your resistor will be in the mail tomorrow. My apologies for being a slack-ass.

Boy do I feel like as ass.

OK, the Disco I have here does not have one of those. I just went to yank it off the truck only to find it does not have one, or the even the provisions for one. I stripped the MAF harness all the way back to the engine harness... notta.

If you can PM me who has one, I'll order one for you while I'm at work today and get it headed your way. Again sorry for being a slacker.

I got one from RN a couple of years ago, cost about $14.

I've found them on '88 & up RRC taped to the wiring harness a couple of inches from the plug into the computer.
In '87 they were attached to the wire at the coil, after that they were moved. I had a very annoying & persistent intermittent problem. That resistor was the culprit.
Good Luck!
Mike

Pulled one from one of the parts cars last night. I think Randy's shipping it out today.
