Mornin'
I was looking at a few digi-meters last night at Sears. Basicly, I know I need DC for an auto, amperage is tested by the field around the wire and the shit that kills you, and you may be able to test some grounding issues with continuity.
What kind of meters do you like?
Is 400V enough coverage?
Do I need 400A?
Is there a Auto Electrics for Dummies edition?
Thanks,
MIke

My frirnd has a Sears meter. he has the one that does auto ranging as it makes things much more simple for those who do not know much about them. I think he paid $30 when it was on sale. I will look at the sears site and see what looks best.

This is the one he has. We have used it for allot of stuff and it works great, it even does temp wich is kind of nice. It is not as fast as my Fluke but for what you will be doing it should be fine.
