As much as I hate to do this, I am thinking about selling my Defender. I am starting my own company and need to free up some coin. I don't "need" to sell it, but if I can get what I think it is worth, I would be willing to let it go.
Here are the vitals:
- 1994 Soft Top "Limited" edition, with leather seats, stainless brush guard and side steps (included but not installed). The seats (front and bench) have been reupholstered and look very sharp.
- 94k miles, Equipe front bumper, Warn XD9000i winch, Iron Goat center console with Cobra CB, HD track rod and drag link from RoverTym, Momo steering wheel, Tuffy center console, factory surrey top and fiberglass top (not perfect, but in good shape), rear bench seat, rear work light, LED round taillights from ECR, 285/75/R16 Firestone Destination MTs on Boost rims, stainless fuel tank skid plate, Thule roof rack.
- Rear step bumper removed (to improve departure angle), added galvanized tow hitch.
- Runs and drives great, no problems. This is my daily driver and there are no issues. I absolutely love this truck, and don't want to sell it, but it is the right decision for me at this time.
More pics will be available in a few days (after I wash it!).
- Asking $24,500, firm.

I've seen this truck which looked great! And met the owner who seems to be a stand-up kind of guy when he hand delivered a set of wheels/tires to me. I'd love to own it. :)
Bump for a good seller.

I know, I know!! Unfortunately, it is the right thing to do financially right now. If I could sell it, let the other person store it and only drive it minimally, and then buy it back in 2 years that would be the ideal.

Nice...I want to see a night shot with them on if you have one available. Kenny, you need this truck... :) No excuse now that it doesn't have square lights anymore.

Thanks Doug! It made the trip from VT to Maine, and then to Boston, and then to VT without any issues. What a nice trip that was!

Yeah, another fun trip. Like I said, it sucks, but for now I think it is the right thing to do.

Especially if that someone is only an hour away!
But seriously this truck is in great condition. I saw it first hand at our ADK HH this past summer.

OK, so I decided to keep the D90. Not sure what I was thinking. I instead will be selling my liver or kidney.

Bozman, If you are still willing to sell, let me drive minimally and then buy back in a couple of years, I am game?
Just bought a house upstate NY where the vehicle would be stored and driven on weekends.

Mmh, I guess you are right. I don't recognize the surroundings though and this Wensel either has not owned it for a few years, or owned it before Greg :)
Chime in Greg!

That is my ex-Disco . . . owned it for about 2 months . . . WOW, that is surprising. I traded it back to the dealer I bought it from (Wensel) about a month ago because the chassis is rusted so bad it wouldnt pass inspection. I didn't inspect it enough, obviously. Rusted clear thru in several spots underneath near the cats and the rear extensions. Not even worth a few thousand, let alone $8k. Run away from this guy!!
I paid $7,000 for it (maybe a little too much even if it wasn't rusted out) but it was set up exactly the way I wanted it to be. This thing is worth around $2,000 or less in the condition it is with the chassis shot.
I am currently Roverless for the first time in about 9 years. :(
But in other news, we have another baby on the way!

Long story short . . . unfortunately, I did end up selling the 90, and then bought the DiscoII, found out it was a basket case, traded that back on the only other car he had that was in decent shape, a '99 Audi A4 Quattro. So now I am driving that.
Hoping to get a "project" D1 one of these days to satisfy my Rover addiction, but in the meantime I need to focus on my family and my carreer.
