So excited for new tub cappings. Didn't get any feedback from the Technical Discussions, so I'm going to touch up the primer and get these painted before installing (rather than galvanizing).

Also have a reason to learn TIG now :) My new (to me) door needs a little love before paint.

make sure the holes line up before you put the new capping on. A lot of times they don't. Also if you don't galv make sure you prime well and prime the body too if there wasn't any paint under your old ones.

Thanks Barry. Assume you mean the rivet holes? Was planning on checking those tonight and all others once I pull the top off. Hadn't thought about checking primer on the body, so thanks for the tip.
