Anybody know what type of power stering fliud I can put in 95 D90???

The book says ATF type F (Automatic Trans fluid).

Aren't there different types of ATF? The manual for 97's specifies Mercon / Dexron III.

Yep! My 94 manual says ATF type F. I think any good quality brand would be fine.

They made it the same as the trans. 94s (maybe 95s too?) speced type F ATF for some reason but Dextron III works the same.

It does not matter. If your box is not leaking now, and you have a few dollars you might want to switch to the new fluid LR has. It is clear and seems to have less leaks than ATF in my limited experience with it.
