Been down in VA away from the Series IIA since August, but heading back next week to wake it from it's slumber. It's time for a new set of rubber, what sizes are generally recommended? I'm on 15" factory steel rims, and I'm planning to go with BFG ATs.

I'm not sure about the 15" equivalent but I have always run 235/85/16 on my series rigs and they are great.
Cheers,
Daniel

Any chance you could post a pic of those?

Sure here is an older pic with my soft top truck cab.

Remember they don't work for you unless you buy some 16" wheels.

I know, just wanted an idea of how they looked...then I can use the ratios to do calcs on the 15s. Right now leaning towards 235/75-15s.

That would be a pretty small tire on a series, the AT is available in 30x9.50-15 which would look better.

I would think a 31/10.5/15 would be a great choice as just about all the usual tires are available in that size. Not sure if they are too wide for a series wheel but I bet they would fit. Good luck.

I'm a little leary of going too wide, as with the stock 15" rims I've heard things can get sloppy when turning/etc. But I think the 30x9.5-15 may just work...I hadn't realized BFG did that size, but I do see it on tirerack.

Gentlemen:
Another stupid question: what the heck is the rim width measurement on the factory 15"? I know the 16" rims are 5.5" wide, is that the same for the 15s? If so...30x9.5 may not work, looks like min width needed is 6.5.
Ps - I'd measure myself but won't be at the Series until next week.
