Hey all, I have been meeting some people around me in NH that want to go wheeling! What I want to know is who on the board would like to hit some trails in the New England area? Also If you know of any good trails, then post that as well, Don't give the exact location just what town the trail is in and how hard it is and how long it takes to get down the trail.

What I know of

Mabel: In western Mass, takes about 2 to 3 hours and can be real hard or real easy depending on the line you take

Florida Road: western Mass, takes 2 to 3 hours I would put it a moderate as a stock D-90 can do it.

Mike there is also Old Chester Road in western MA takes about 4/5 hours total depending on tack and traffic.

Also heard about Waynes World in NH but havent been. I think its someones land that he lets people play on??

Someone from the NEOW site mentioned it.

Is there a 4x4 thing this week end at the Florida road???

I wouldnt mind doing that this Sat..

Are you going??? Any details??

Ron

OK what I want is to find out what is out there and then put together some group rides, maybe some easy ones and some hard ones, I can do most weekends and if the trail is not to far I can scout things out during the week. If there is enough to make a couple good day runs then I think we could make a weekend out of it, but as it is Mabel and Florida road only take a day to run with a group of 5 or so. I know of allot of other trails near me but I don't think they are 100% leagal, and I don't want to post them on the WWW.

Ron, yep there is a BSROA ride on Florida road this Sat and then Mabel on Sunday, I am only doing Mabel as the camp ground is full and I don't fell like driving out there twice or hoteling it. Are you a member of BSROA (Bay State Rovers Owners Asosiation), the deadline for signing up for the ride is today!

I'm free on August 7th. I'll have my sister in tow. She has never wheeled before... :proud

Mike, see you tomorrow at the WEMA event. I'm setting course and scoring. Since the rules penalize for winching to a tree. I might have a pull-pal that can be rented... :)

I'm actually planning on coming up to NH for a little mini-vacation this weekend, with the 90, but after this past weekend I don't know if I'll get the permission slip from the wife for any wheeling, as she will be with me of course.

Keep me in mind for any future NE runs though, after this weekend's WEMA its obvious I need the practice if I want to have any straight body panels left  (and thanks for the help Dave M)

Good fun on Sunday. Kudos to Jimmy and Mike for taking a line nobody else dared and pulling it off like it was nothing. And for Dave S. going after it for the win in the challenge.

I'm now a maybe for anything this weekend. My plans seem to have changed ever so slightly.

I'm also open for Labor day weekend, unless VTXS.org puts together something for then. Some of us were also talking about going to Nova Scotia for the Rover rally.

What about another Paragon Labor Day Extravaganza? Maybe I'll have my truck back(!) and Pete will have his Monster Crawler finished and Randy will have dumped the boat and Jimmy will have a second (or is it third) D-90 and Dave will have his hipwaders all polished up by then...

Maybe I'll have my truck back(!) and Pete will have his Monster Crawler finished and Randy will have dumped the boat and Jimmy will have a second (or is it third) D-90 and Dave will have his hipwaders all polished up by then...Sounds good! We talked about doing that a little this past weekend. But with the repower Dave is moving on to SCUBA gear as the hipwaders are not enough, Jimmy no longer wants another 90 just bigger tires, Randy can take his boat out to Paragon to help aid in the water crossings, if Pete is finished he will have driven over everything in Paragon anyway, and Zach won't let you drive because he'll be to scared you'll break your 90 again (you broke it 2 trips in a row now you know).:grin

If anyone is up for doing some wheeling this weekend PM me or post here.

Is it a crime to have a polished truck? I got lot's of grief on Sunday. Particularly from Hippert. :angry

Hey! Everyone was asking to see your 90! I was bugging you to open the hood and show it off but you were brushing me off! To tell the truth I showed off you 90 to everyone more then you did! And you think you got it bad! I had my 90 clean for ONE week and people around town were asking, "well it looks nice do you ever take it off road?"

SO far coming this weekend for sure we have

ME
Jimmy

Maybe's

Dave the repower Marchand
Mr. the guy that won the team challenge Souza:thumbs
The Maine man Noah
And since he posted Ken:rolleyes
And Ron I know you said the 15th but how about the 7th?

My two favorite pics:

And Dave S. getting a push sideways up the hill(or just a bunch of us salvaging his door from the rocks):

I'm off the maybe list, not gonna happen for me this weekend. Next time, for sure.

I like that pic too Dave, you can tell you're working pretty hard! I really appreciate it though! The doors really not that bad, could've been *much* worse.

You've got to know that obstacle on the picture of Jimmy to really appreciate it, that was such a sick climb, he really got it right. Of couse, he had to follow Hippert! Great driving to you both!

thanks again Dave!
