Hard Chromeing swivel balls

Hey all

Anyone have a good shop they work with to hard chrome swivel balls? For seires axles. Have a set cleaned up to be chromed but my local shops do not do that type chrome anymore. Looking for someone that might be able to drop a set to be chromed in their area for me. Estimate of cost would be great as well.

Did you ask Mark Freeman? I thought he had a place - not Monings - that did that?

Ask gun shops that do a lot of custom work, they would probably know at least one capable of doing a good job. It would be easier than a pistol.

Maybe your customer would like blue balls.
I know a couple of people who repaired theirs with blue epoxy about 15 years ago and they are still as good as "new".
It seems to hold up better than chrome.

Like Andy Woodward, I used epoxy compound to fill pits in my swivel balls. I
used Devcon Titanium Putty, then painted the whole surface after bead
blasting with Petits Hobbypoxy two part paint. I now have attractive french
blue balls but you can't see them as they are wrapped in leather gaiters.
