Yeah, we finally did it! We made a scale D110 for the cub scout derby race. Wasn't perfect, but what a great time! Enjoy the pictorial .pdf attached.

Chuck that's awesome! Looks great! I remember doing those races when I was in the scouts. Fun times.

Yeah, we'd talked about it a few times. He was insistent on the skateboard last year and a ravens car the year before that. Both were fun, but this took the cake!

That is the coolest pwd car ever! My kid is a bear cub this year and we always look forward to the derby. Iain normally goes for the wedge shape but this year in honor of the wimpy kid books he made his look like a block of moldy cheese and called it "The Cheese Touch". Took ninth place and "Looks least like a car" award.

WOW the detail on the 110 is awesome.
My oldest did a 109 a couple years ago. Like all good series trucks, it was very slow. My second son (webelos I) is all about speed, so he chose a streamliner this year. Of the 7 times it raced it was first every time. He later went on to race the 'Dad class' and smoked them!

Thanks for all the great feedback. We had an awesome time with this one. He was very stoked with the award for favorite car.
That South Park spot was great Neil. Nice work on the green 109 there Jeff, looks like a SII...even has the ridges on the roof, nice!
