Can anyone recommend a good reliable source for used rover engines here in the US?

yea, i also have been looking for a builder 4.6. I have been looking at www.car-parts.com as they are a decent source.

Try George at RDS. He may be able to help. I have seen some at Rovers North as well.

Conversely the parts for sale section has a complete low mileage engine trans and t-case....

I've got a good used 4.0 you can have for $1000. New pump and wires/plugs. Has many miles, but good for a rebuild and stroke...

If you are looking for someone to also build the engine, I would talk with Keith a RTdesign (Rovertracks). I have seen some of the stuff that he is working on and the man has got talent. Not sure if it is for hire or not, though.
