forward face rear bench brackets and belt routing

I just noticed that my D-90's rear seat does not stay locked in place when in the 'sitting' position. I do have all the correct brackets but it looks like whomever installed the rear seat botched the job. I'm also thinking that the routing of the seatbelt is incorrect.

I'm not sure if the seat is mounted 2-3 inches too far forward or if the 'catch' brackets on the sides of the tub are in the wrong position.

Also, please tell me that the seatbelts should not be routed through the tub brackets as seen in the attached pictures...that just does not seem right either.

Seat belt should not be through there.

The post on the seat will lock it into the bracket when you push the lever back.

If you do a search on the forums or the site, someone posted a PDF with the measurements at some point in time.

Can you shoot a picture of your front brackets? You look off enough that the front brackets may be mounted backwards.

Can't believe how many people mount these seats wrong...mine was as well and had to have my local shop fix it...

Given they are a weird design...but come one...google an install manual already!!

The front brackets are correct. I think I might have figured out what's going on. The rear brackets are not installed correctly. It looks like whomever did the install, mounted the brackets too far forward- even looks like they cut out part of the tub support to do it. When I compare this location with the location shown in the install instructions, I can see that they simply installed the brackets in the wrong spot.

In the attached photo, you can see the outside of the rear tub brackets and where they cut out the tub support. I cant believe that they went through all the trouble and still didn't get it right.

See photos. The wheel well pictures are of the driver side. Notice the location behind the tub rib. Also the location of the seat belt bolt. I included an interior shot showing the seat belt bolt location. The last one shows the way the bracket engages the seat when the seat back is locked in position.

Thanks for the pics. They confirmed that my brackets were not installed correctly....another thing to fix!
