Hi guys, I'm a new member and need help with looking at a 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 in the Atlanta , GA area. It sounds clean and reasonably priced but since I'm on the West Coast I don't feel comfortable wiring money without seeing it. Any offers to look at it in person and giving feedback would be much appreciated :).
Please PM me for more details.
Thanks!!

Nick,
unless u are looking for a serious project don't waist ur time. I saw this truck at the auction in atlanta 2 weeks ago and its rough.. it came from land rover nashville and it was sold to the dealer who has it now as needing a new engine. It has a very loud bottom end knock and it also has some serious hail damage.

Thank you, Tim and everyone for your feedback on this truck. So knowing that it's this rough and may need major engine work how much do you think it's worth?

The older posts had full details and a picture. Now the CL post just says Defender 90 and financing available.

So, I guess this was on eBay as well and it just ended an hour ago at $15,200 but the reserve was not met and therefore didn't get sold. Well with all the hail dmage and engine problems I guess it wouldn't be worth more than that.
Thanks again for everyone's advise and feedback. My urge for buying one of these is getting getting higher and higher so hope I can find a decent one (for a good price )

i waited several years. you will find one eventually. patience is key unless you want a headache or have a lot of time/space/tools (money helps too).

the ATL D90 doesn't look too bad in the pics. looks like he wants $18500, is that really that bad for a NAS D90?I mean people are spending that much and more for rusty, right hand drive UK vehicles all the time. If you can get him down to $15k or $16k and then spend $10k in repairs you still have a $25k NAS 90. It could even be used as a donor vehicle for a 110. Maybe I am missing something?:confused

I think the point is that a new guy on the 90 scene is probably not looking to take on a big project, where he can't drive his new truck for 6 months. Significant hail damage and a new motor could be a deterrent.
