Hey guys. I know some of you have experience with importing items. I was wondering what is the best way to get something shipped here from the UK? I have/will have bought a SW top and side panels, rear door. The owner is going to crate them for me, but he has no way to get them to the docks. Where do I need to go from here?

Thanks

Chris

I would hire one of the people who normally imports things and have them pick it up for you and stick it in with one of their containers. They will charge you but otherwise you are looking at huge amounts to have it shipped here. Maybe thatchedroof garage would do it for you, I don't know.

The best way is to pool resources with a local club and get a container. ROVERS does this about once every six months or so. I think ROAV has done it too. This is the only way to get things from the UK economically. Normal oversize shipping is ridiculous.
