Has anyone ever done the Supai primitive 4x4 road from the south rim of the Grand Canyon to the Supai village?
I cant find any info on it other than a post by a Jeep Cherokee owner who drove it in 1989 and said it was rough. Well that was 22 years ago!
Funny thing is that if you use google maps, they say to take that road to get to the village!
On the village website they say do NOT take that road, rather take the paved roads which still take something like 5-6 hours but say its faster than the 4x4 trail. The trail is only 40ish miles long, and allot of it seems like desert driving until the last 1/3.
The supai tribe didnt answer my emails about it, posted on several AZ offroad websites, and no one seems to know or has taken this route!
Any thoughts on how to find out about it?
