series 2a 109 coil [Archive] - The Defender Source

Greetings

I was looking at a LHD ex-military SIIa 109, petrol 2.25 engine, and the coil was mounted on top of the engine/rocker cover.

Is this usual?

Yep, some military trucks were fitted like that.

Dry and High...but dangerously easy for a squaddie to reach...
