ok i sold my 90 td5 and have bought an ex RAF (royal air force) mountain rescue special vehicle to restore and modify to my tastes.

The 110 has the usual LR corrosion in all the doors, the B pillars but the chassis is OK and will go again with plenty of wax oil. I will be looking at a galvy chassis next year but i'd like this on the road before the winter here.

Plans are for full body restoration with a few mods, fresh paint, interior etc. The chassis and mechanicals will get a once over until i do a chassis swap.

started on the strip down. i've already bought a 2005 XS td5 bulkhead complete with AC and a set of 5 new doors. Also a 110 van roof so i don't have any alpine lights or sunroof.

Sorry about the pics! Dumb irons need repairing but its solid apart from that. I have a ARB bumper for it so will trim the chassis ends anyway and repair the ends.

Wow slow going due to all the seized bolts!!!

B pillars are rusted but theres a company that make the sections that i need to replace, they'll get blasted, repaired and galved. I've got a pile of bodycappings for the blasters set aside>

Marcus could you post a link to the company that makes the repair sections. I have two pair of "T" posts that have some rust but are very salvageable.
