It's that time again! We've been very busy cutting new trails to accommodate those that wanted to wheel more last year. Trails have been expanded by +100%. There are some serious hill climbs, switch backs and off camber trails that will challenge the experienced driver. We've also cut trails over at T&T Motorsports with some creek crossings that will certainly get thicker and more difficult as the day goes by. Lastly, we have even more trails over at Esmont just a few miles aways! This is the second year at Willow Hill Farm and we're making the effort to give everyone more of what they've come to expect from MAR. Don't miss out. Early registration ends 9/19. Visit us at www.roav.org (http://www.roav.org) for more info. http://www.roav.org/ForumsPro/viewtopic/p=3870.html#3870

I liked the spot i was in last year. Back by the fence off to the left when you come in. Cgalpin, 130tdi, Ron, among other list members were there as well. Jorge are you coming down with the NJLR crew?

We had thunderstorms and pouring rain for 3 hours last night. The weather might be nice when you all get here, but the ground is going to be muddy from almost 2 weeks of rain.

Cool- that's prety much a perfect scenario. I had asked the people that run the Hatton Ferry to have it open Friday and Saturday and the guy was somewhat of a jerk and said it would be water level dependant. Sounds like thats resolved.

September 28th, 2011, 11:13 AM
River is at normal level. The rain has been constant, but slow so the grounds soaks it up. The river hasn't even been muddy once in the last 2 weeks yet we keep getting lots of rain.
I wouldn't go near the Hatton Ferry for something like this. You'll spend an hour trying to cross when you could have driven to the place in 10 minutes. I realize there is a "cool" factor, but I would rather have the trail time.

Trevor,
Don't worry man.. no damage ( outside, however I am trying to peel pieces of the seat from my ass )
No so much in that trail. after that I left the trail for a bathroom break wonder why, when I took the wrong trail back to camp... and there was this 3/4 feet deep ledge that everyone was climbing, well I had to be special so I came down that way ..very close to a cart wheel flip...
I think I pooped my pants there :)

And the moment everyone has been waiting for. MAR dog pics; Murphy had a great time on his first camping and wheeling trip!
It looks like you guys had some fun out there as well - didn't realize until after I left that I didn't get to wheel with you guys, but damn it was still fun as hell at the campfire at the end of the night! Charles "Hot Knuckles" Galpin showing us all how long it takes to toast a good marshmallow was a great laugh.

The trails were limited but alot of fun. This year was the first time we used all our straps and double winched to get out of one obstacle . Missed the Jersey crew but shared great times with the people there , it's always great seeing the guys behind the login names from the d-90 source .Myself , Fernando and crew will be back next year .

We admired that truck pretty heavily...the pics don't do it justice. Those brackets were a custom fab job it looked like, and attached in the rain gutters very clean. Amazing rig - I'd never have the heart to take that on the trails it was so clean.

Brian / Pedro;
Thank you for the positive comments on my truck. I did in fact faricate those. Made from stainless steel, tapped the holes and mount in the gutter. I based it off some of the other guttered mounted rack systems. Does make it easier to remove but that was never a consideration. Mostly because I could not bring myself to drill the holes for the ladder in the rear of the truck.
Thanks!

Hey Troy, is it possible I saw this 90 in Radford VA about a month ago? It was the first time I saw a 90 here. And we will have to meet up sometime and go off roading! You aren't to far away from where I live!

Correct, the Mantec Carrier requires that the rivets be drilled out at the capping and slightly larger holes drilled for the bolts.
Maxim - Up that way all the time. My shop is is Salem. I was up that way this weekend with a truck load of kids at Wolfe Ridge playing paintball. If you get down towards Roanoke give me call. 798.8653.
There is a white D90 ST for sale in Dublin. I ran up there a month or so ago to check it out.
