Does anyone know if the serpentine belt tensioner for the 300 tdi will also work for the 2.8 tgv? I am in Canyonlands and it sounds like the bearing in my tensioner is going out.

For about $12, you might want to try the bearing for a 300Tdi tensioner from your local NAPA, part # 6203-2RSJ.

tensioner is the same as from 300Tdi.

"How did this end up in the Series discussion?"...... Because my wife posted for me over
a scratchy pay phone from Canyonlands NP. Took me a while to find it too when I got to Moab
and logged on. Glad it got answered though. The bearing from NAPA did the trick.
