Afternoon

Just had a leak in my steel 110 fuel tank repaired locally. They applied a thick sealant after the repair and now the tank doesn't appear to sit perfectly in the tank's cradle. I filled it with diesel today and I am sure the weight will settle it back into the cradle.

A quick question... the fuel return line at the leading edge of the tank - near the two rubber insulated bolts - is really close to the cross member above. The photos were taken laying on my back looking up at the leading edge of the tank. The return line sits really close to the cross member and at the moment and the rubber insulated bolts aren't very tight. Anyone know if the return line should sit above this cross member, rather then below? If I snug the bolts up the return line and cross member will be in contact - with some pry bar work I can probably squeeze the return line above it.

Regards,
Henry

I'd put some spiral protecting plastic wrap around anything that looks like it might rub.
