I was thinking of someplace in between, perhaps Clarendon, but don't know the bars there. Kinda depends on where Michael will be staying, whether he's hoofing it or has wheels.

There's a rock bottom brewery at Ballston Common Mall, and if you want to hit Clarendon/Wilson Blvd, there's an Irelands four Provinces or Whitlows. Dr. Dremos on Wilson is pretty cool, is outdoors, and is not as full of yuppie scum as the rest. The Rock Bottom is essentially right off 66 @ Glebe which might make it a bit easier on Tyler. All of them are metro accessable.
