has any one stripped aluminum? what is the best way with out harming the aluminum?looking to re do me seat box.was also woundering if any body has tried to make their own storage boxes uner the seat box. drilled all the rivets off the seat box and seperated thebox and the storage part and was think of making my own maybe bigger and water tight.any one know why they used steel instead of aluminum here.becuase its stronger or some thing to do with heat from muff maybe?any ideas on the seat box reconstruction would be a great help.

Blast with baking powder (this is what it is, I forget the actual name sodium bicarbonate or something) is the first choice.

Second would be chemical stripper.

When I Hurculined my 90 the paint would come off real easy when I used thinner to try and take off the glue that held the vinal on the seatbox.
