Stock 1997 NAS Exhaust

Is there supposed to be a frame mounted hanger for the muffler on a 1997 NAS 90? My muffler has a "hook" of sorts welded to it, but there is nothing holding it to the frame. The rear tail pipe is suspended from the standard rubber piece bolted to the rear crossmember as it should be. Am I missing a piece? The muffler seems to be secure, but it is just floating there. Anyone?

The pipe coming out of the muffler should have a hanger, and connect at the crossmember behind the seatbox. You should see a bracket that is welded on this crossmember, that you can bolt a hanger to. Sorry if this is confusing, but it is hard to explain.
