I had been trying to have a blast email sent to the membership asking for people to run so that a balliot could be emailed to the membership prior to the ellection. It would appear 4 of seven current board members aren't running for re-election.

No ballot, nor any call for candidates despite the fact that many on the current board have other demands on their time. McMike,Keeney, Dan, myself all sent emails that we didn't wish to run. This is an opportunity for an influx of young enthusiastic members to come in and make a major change to the character of the club. I think several of the N. Va guys who are of like mind should consider it.
I'm posting on forums because there hasn't been any email to the membership about this event/meeting.

I got an email about the ABM as well, so someone must be able to sent out a blast to membership.

I'm considering going, but I'm not sure I want to get wrapped up in the politics....

What politics ? Its a cocktail hour, dinner, and an election. Not sure who's running but should be a good time.

I think those interested in serving for the coming year have already thrown their hats in the ring. Showing up is not like registering for a draft if thats what you are afraid of.

I'll admit it. I'll be there. I am also available for another year if voted in.
