George, at RDS, has new 2.25 crankshafts listed on his site under Series Engine Parts, for $297.

Diesel ones are forged. They fit the gasser as a nice bottom end upgrade.

So sorry , It appears my friend needs a crank handle (so the series truck 2.0l and 2.25l can be started by hand... not the crankshaft !

Tell him good luck with that. I never could start the 2 1/4D with one. Maybe the gassers are easier. I think those were more an appearance item than actually useful. I usually could get the truck going if I could push it up to walking speed then bump it in 1st. If it was pointing uphill I would bump it in reverse.

They are gas engines he has , Bill I was thinking the same thing with the hand crank on the front of my 101FC , now that is has a 4.6 in it I'm quite sure the hand crank will always be for aesthetics
