Since D90s seem to have received the shaft from both Yakima and Thule, has anyone retrofitted a ski rack to the top of a D90? What are the options for transporting skis and keeping them locked up?
Thanks

If you have a safari rack already installed you can do what I do. I use Thule euro rail adapters for the cross bars and attach them to the top rail of my hannibal rack.

If you don't have a rack you can use a receiver mounted rack with a ski adaptor.

Is there any way to mount them to the top of a hard top? Or a rack that attaches to the front roll cage?

Payton;
There is a Land Rover optional "Basic Roof Rack" that was offered for Defenders. It consisted of four feet and two Thule like rails that went across the front The feet mounted to the exterior roll bars. I could send you a picture of them and the part number if interested.

Yeah, that'd be great Troy. I think that's exactly what I'm looking for, but do they still offer it? And is it priced LR accordingly?
Thanks

Check out "Parts For Sale" at "Thule Crossbar and Rack" chat to view picture of the crossbars and feet I'm talking about.
