Chris,
If I start a thread, usually for help, I would like to be able to do 2 things:
1. Add to the thread title at end to draw attention it is closed.
I can not figure out how to do it, so think (conceited me) it is not possible.
Would be nice. (same with the For Sale area on my searches.

2. The help area has a bunch of stuff that would be great in the tech, or similar
area/ folder. What is the best way to / best format to have things go there.
Should I use word or just email them to you (do not want to crush you with stuff)

Hi Paul,

For your first question, threads can only be closed by Mike or myself. For topics say in the Tech section, someone could always add other suggestions that could be additionally helpful so its benificial to leave them open. I dont think that the way I have current setting will allow you to modify a master thread title but people should (in the case in the classifieds like you point out) in good practice, follow up with a posting if their items sells.

I didnt quite follow your 2nd request. Would you elaberate and I will try to give you an answer. :)

Thanks!

I dont know if this is what Paul is saying, but it would be cool to reformat the tech section into a part of the forum. It could be exclusively for posting helpful articles, as opposed to just asking questions. This does allow for the dialogue you mentioned and does away with the need to have a separate tech section which requires you to specifically enter every submission.

If you need or want help, please just ask. I'm more than happy to reformat articles or whatever.

ahh ok.. it did kind of sound that way but I wanted to just be sure. There is 2 large upgrades that will be happening next to the site real soon, the second one will be redoing the FAQ and all the seperate tech/custom mods/tires sections into one big interactive section.

Jim got my point. There is a lot of information in the HELP section that I cut and past to word and have set in a folder on my computer. Its my self help library - for today's projects and beyond. Some times the info is silly, like carpet selection, other times really detailed like the PDF I received on car electrical systems. I have also made several searches on LED lights and find different threads which when combined make a nice DIY project outline.
I do not want you over burdened, but if I gather this information and want to send it back to D-90.com I want it to go in a format that can be easily read.
