Was in the den watching tv with my wife the other night, spotted a nice black NAS 110. Show was Rich Girls, on MTV. It belongs to Tommy Hillfigger. Looked nice, had tan carpet and tan leather seats. Couldn't tell much else about it.

Is that the one where that guy cried like a wee little school girl? I laughed so hard I thought I was going to puke!

Did you notice the Disco II, Range and a Freelander. Must be nice....

I caught that show last night for the second time... I think that was Tommy Hilfiger's Nantucket House in Mass. I thought for a second they were in an LR Dealer since they had practically all the models there. Prior to the "rich girls" getting to Nantucket, they were arguing with the Nav System on their P38 RR. You're right Keith, must be nice...

If you want to see the largest gathering of tricked out NAS 110's, then go to the island with the "reds". My college roommate lives there year round so I stay there often. It's crazy to see the rigs the people drive there. Most, if not all are ECR prepped. And most of the 110's have 90's for their children. You'd think they had oil on that island given all of the money there.

The first episode I saw was when one of them was crying because she was stuck in their limo in rush hour Manhattan traffic trying to get to their Long Island house and her Dad won't let her use their Helicopter to get there right away. :rolleyes

She was like "..they don't understand how stressfull this could be..."

I was ROTFLMAO

There is a boat load of 110s out here in Santa Barbara, probably the largest concentration in the country that I have seen.

Dianne Keaton drives a 93/110 that she had custom painted black, she keeps it at her home in Aspen. The black 110s look pretty sweet.

I'm not a fan of Tommy Hillfiger...he ripped off Ralph Lauren with an inferior, unimaginative, and uninspired product. I heard a couple of years ago that Hillfiger was in pretty deep financial trouble because of a failed attempt to launch a couture line that was laughed at in Milan and Paris. The only people that buy Hillfiger's crap are young urban black men. Rich Girls is pathetic...can't watch that crap regardless of the cars those snotty little Japs are driving. Phew...I feel better now.

Where in the hell did that come from? I thought we were talking about trucks? Sorry you don't like his clothes. I will agree with you about the show, it is pretty pathetic.

Brian, what's up with the comment above? You do know saying "little Japs" is offensive and racist, right? Just checking... I was a little shocked to read this.

And to make it more pathetic, you're commenting on fashion and clothes. Who gives a rat's ass?

Anybody else offended by this?

Oofa... Ok, before we get carried away here..
While I have not watched the show, I'm pretty sure Brian's referance was to Jewish American Princesses (J.A.P) and not towards the Asian community. Personally, I would feel better if we did not dive into fashion buying demigraphics and jump back to the topic of sexy black Defenders.

Ahh. Frank Zappa had a song about a Jewish Princess. Yeah how bout those 110's I thought Ralph L had a NAS 110 painted black from the factory?

My bad - sorry to jump on you, Brian. Chris straighten me out on the J.A.P.s reference, which makes more sense. I was confused as to why there were little Japanese girls on the show, but I hadn't seen the show.

But please make sure to use appropriate capitalizations and punctuations next time that a word may have offensive connotations.

yeah i think there are a shitload of Denfenders in the north east, alot has to do with the $$$ factor. I was watching something on the tube about Marthas Vineyard i think? and saw 3 diff 90's in the show. Yeah its always interesting to see other Defenders on the road etc. i see as many ferrari's as i do 90's hell last time i saw a station wagon i saw a 512 not to long after the 90 sighting.

No worries Paul, I don't hold it against you. I was just venting. I work in entertainment in and it frustrates me to no end seeing the kind of crap that gets produced...especially on MTV. Sweet rides though...even for a hack like Hillfiger.

I spend time in Nantucket every summer, without my D90 and I see about 6 or 7 different D90's and 110's each time I am up there. Now everyone is trying to bring the H2's there because H1's are not aloud to drive on the beach.

Ummm. Fun thread. Uhhhh, yeah.

RE BLACK DEFENDERS: Black is a bad color for a Defender. Sorry Ralph. I'm wearing one of your shirts right now if that's of an concellation. It's this really cool army green color. ;)

RE JAPS: Japanese women rock. Mine is a Vietnamese, but I know some of the Japanese models too and they are cool. And my step-mother is a J.A.P. (not to be confused with Japs), and she rocks too.

RE PLACES WHERE LOTS OF COOL DEFENDERS LIVE: Is that Nantucket you're talking about?

RE DESIGNER LABELS: If anything is a designer label, it's the badge on the back of your Defender.

RE BRIAN: "Milan, Paris, Hilfiger..." You label-whore, you.
