Is the lug nut pattern for a D-90 and a Disco 1 the same? Also does anyone know offhand what is the size and backsapcing of the stock alloys?

yes ... 5 on 6.5. Wheel is 16"x7". BS is something like 5.25", but I'll let someone else confirm that...

If the stock alloys have 5.25" of backspacing and I get rims with 4.5" of backspacing will that give my truck a wider stance or a more narrow stance?
