Speaker Help?

I am ordering new speakers tonight and my D-90 is at work. Are the front and rear speakers the exact same size?

Yes, all the same speakers.

I had viewed that thread, but I was unsure if all speakers were the same? So Yes, the rear speakers are the same as the front.

It was your thread? Did you replace the rears with the Clarion speakers and the Fronts?

I just replaced mine. They are the same, 6.5in. Hope that helps.

Speakers are the same.
I changer mine, rear to marine speakers and had to have a 1/2 inch adapter fitted - for depth.
Not to sure it it was really needed. I had them prof. installed and I am pretty sure the guy installing was a complete moron (though not as big as me who paid for crap service).
Only thing, I still play with ther idea of fitting real speaker boxes (wood or thick plastic) to decrease the vibrations/rattle. The flimsy 1994 LR speaker holders are not well made.

Be careful of depth and speaker diameter difference... I just installed a set of Rockford Fosgate 6.5" in the back only and had to do some cutting of the chinsy plastic speaker mount, I think it was about an extra .5" all the way around. To use the rover speaker grills, I had to put screws through the surface of the grill, speaker mounting hole and then the LR plastic speaker mount. Easy, but kind of a PIA.

I was in a rush during install so I didn't get a chance to measure the depth and diameter up to the front speakers.
