So I'm headed to Denver with my family to see my brother's new place out there. I know a bunch of members live out there so I'm wonderring, besides the Defenders, what do I need to see/do?
And the answer is no, I'm flying, so the D will not be making the trip. I hope to see some of the rigs on this site out there though, taking the camera to document my sightings, and I promise to force the family to pull over the rental minivan so I can hang out the side to wave (So if you see me wave back).

Jesse,
I don't know how much you already have planned, or where your interests lie, but if you get bored I have a suggestion. The National Western Stock Show and Rodeo is going on while you're in town. If you have an agricultural background there's lots to see. If not, it's still fun. Just walking around seeing all the livestock and equipment can take all day. Young kids love it. The old Denver Coliseum (sp?) is a great venue to see a rodeo in as well. There are events from mule team pulls, to horse jumping, to sheep shearing, to livestock judging that go on every day. I didn't grow up on a ranch but I still enjoy going.
Or you could go skiing! :)
I wish you a safe trip.

Rod,
Thanks for the info. Believe it or not I grew up on a farm and was very active in the FFA chapter at my high school. I've competed in a lot of livestock events and I'm looking forward to being in Denver while all this is going on (The jokes make themselves here). I think the hotel we're staying at is supposed to have the winning steer or bull or something in the lobby on Saturday. I was unaware there was a Rodeo with it, I shall have to get tickets.
All,
Thanks for the suggestions!

Jesse,
I have tickets right over the chutes. No promises, but let me know what nights, days(weekend matinees) you could go, and how many people you might have and I'll see if I can fix you up!
