Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows how many settings there are on the heater switch. My heat does nothing until about 3/4 of the way down. It then has one more increase at the all the way down location. What do you suggest I check.

Yup, mine is either slightly on, or full blast. I've never really tried messing with the cable attached to the heater in the engine bay, but you might try that. Too many other things on the list to do...

Or just get on of the curtains Art has been selling.

If I had 20% the power on my heater that the A/C puts out, I'd be happy. My heater goes as follows, setting 1 = nothing, setting 2 = high flow. Weird thing is it comes out of the passenger round vent, that wee little thing, and through every crack in the dash. The rectangular vents get nothing, they seem to be reserved for the a/c which really works. Just I rarely use a/c.
Thank god for the heat through the floor!

I know this has been put out before, so forgive me for being redundant, but I experienced a dramatic increase in hot air output after romoving the rectangular vent cover on the driver side.

I think I will play with the vents this long weekend. See what I can do.

It takes about 30 seconds. It's 2 screws.

Paul, THe rectangular vents are for the AC only. with the heat on you should get hot air out of the defrosters and the floor vents. you can set the inside control on the left side of the steering wheel to control where the heat goes (defrosters or floor vents). When I set mine for defroster I still get some out the floor vents because my PO dropped a screw in the floor vent, shut the floor vents and bent the door so air always comes out of the floor vents.

I looked behind the dash once and reconnected the defroster hoses a little better but the don't make a very tight fit so you end up with allot of air coming out of the dash.

I have also done like Phil said and removed the floor vent covers and it helped allot. They can be a pain to get to with the AC on but it is still not that hard.
