I want to post a photo
and got a photo to large message - it was bigger that 640 x 640.

Using photo editor, Microsoft, I decreased the .jpeg size from
1.3 meg to 648k and then to 168k. That should fit.
I do not know what is 640x 640 nor how to alter to comply with 640x640
Help.

Hi Paul,

640x640 restriction refers to the pixel dimensions, meaning that the picture can not be larger that 640 pixels wide or tall. Most pictures are either square or rectangular. Use the re-size feature in your art program and reduce the longest side to 640. If your software has a "keep aspect ratio" selection, make sure its on. This way it will equally reduce the picture while retaining the correct view instead of squishing it.

Re-sizing in this method most of the time will also reduce the file size. You can test posting in the practice area to see if the picture is OK.

Let me know how you make out.
