I have 33x12.5s and a stock steering stabilizer. The truck mildly pulls side to side when braking on uneven pavement.
Will upgrading my stabilizer (in addition, replacing the original, 50k mile stabilizer) help this?
If not, what exactly will it do? and what is the best upgrade?
I have only seen OME version and a Bilstien
Thanks!!!

Nice, another '97 Arles owner!
The stabilizer might help. I would go with OME. I've had both and believe the OME is a better unit.
But really the pulling could be just about anything. Is it only in hard braking, or anytime you brake? I would check to make sure all of your components are bolted tight on the front end. Make sure your track rod ends/ball joints are still good. But pretty much this could be an endless road depending on how straight you want your braking to be. I have slight pull with my 33's to the right hand side only under hard braking.

I found that when I drive with the tire pressure at 25 psi it pulls more then when I have the pressure at 35 psi.

What else will the stabilizer do?
I just finished restoring my truck. Every panel was taken down to metal, and repainted. Replaced all 3 doors, all hinges and bolts (ss) I had the tire carrier made and got new wheels and tires.
Just picked it up last week. It took a month and a half. I love it.

Looks awesome Maz. That's a clean truck.
I do run high tire pressures to improve handling and mpg (silly, I know). I run the fronts at about 40 and rear in the 46-48 range on road.

That's the name most of us get as MA residents. Typically for either our erratic driving, or general attitude.

HA!!
thats great.
I'm considering moving back out to the East Coast. (I'm from MD).
I hate it here.
Anyone else on this board share the misfortune of living in the armpit of North America? (Michigan)
Are there regional D90 club type things?

Stabilizer won't help, I don't think. Pulling is either alignment or brakes. Check current thread no this board about pulling to left. Alignment is possible since u just had the truck all apart.

The steering stabilizer only masks problems. I don't have one and there are zero steering problems.

I can't imagine that there's a lot of Mazen's living in Michigan... but I could be wrong.
Mazen, did you work with IBM at the DaimlerChrysler Customer Service Center?
