Just wanted to share after the shop had it for 6 weeks of repainting, and adding new doors, hinges, stainless bolts, windshield, wheels, tires, stainless sills, tire carrier, mirrors, headlights, nudge bar, etc. etc. etc.
Every panel was stripped and painted individually, then put back together and rivoted. The rivots were then hand painted to match. The shop does excellent work and restores rare (and extremely expensive) old cars regularly.

He's a very nice guy. The tire carrier is top notch. Right down to the welds (they're perfect).
It was about 850 including shipping.

Unfortunately, I rearly use it offroad. It's a daily driver and a tow vehicle for my 125cc kart.
I had the shop install loads of sound deadening in the doors and other places. Made a huge difference and cost very little.

Thanks for all the compliments from eveyone!
There are actually three around here. I don't know the owners of them, buy I'm sure I'll rin into them soon.
I like your truck. I dig the green.

While the green is the true identifier for the LR I've always coveted (secretly of course!) a 95 Arles Blue SW! I was really close to buying a Arles Blue SW here in Portland, but then my Green Machine went up for sale $10K less, so I had to nab it! Turns out the guy who sold my D90 to me was on the verge of bankruptcy and since his wife was reluctant to give up her new BMW 3-Series the rover had to go!

It's good you added a HD tire carrier, b/c that door will not hold that wheel/tire for long. Great job.

I was wondering if you got it on. The rig looks great!

I am preparing for some mild restoration work on a '94 D90 soft top. I will probably do some of the same combination of paint/stainless upgrades/soundproofing... do you mind saying about what that process cost you? The finished rig looks perfect!
