This was a limited time engagement! I am leaving for Thanksgiving now and didn't want this hanging out there forever. Happy thanksgiving to all!

I remember seeing that from eBay. That's from Rovers Down South wasn't it? You got lucky man! It could've gotten ugly right there with the CHPs. Unless of course you got Ponch as the officer !:grin
Now post some pics!

Damn, you're smooth!:pimp
Nice reading, my only question is:
When the hell are you going to stop teasing us and post a picture of your rig?!
Even better, how about a bio?

Man that's crazy! I thought I had it bad when I was pulled over for having no rear bumper. I told the officer that this is the way it comes (I only have the $afari guard Receiver hitch). He said it would not pass inspection. Well I showed him, the guy that inspects my 90 is blind or just doesn't care. So I totally agree with Dave, The DMV is easy to trick, in fact if you look at the vehicle type on my registration it says station-wagon!

"No joke, she actually looked like Big Foot with Down syndrome."
Bwaahahahahahahaha!!!!!! Man, that's got to be a first! That mental image is going to put a smile on my face for the rest of the day..........oh and the story will too!

All in good time young grasshoppa. One must seek inner peace before one can see the big yellow D.

"CHP and DMV did not communicate!"
Be careful about getting pulled over. :)

Hey David-
You should put that little disclaimer at the beginning next time. I'm a retired CHP officer. :mad
Don't worry, your secret is safe.

If you get pulled over now nothing will happen since you have a valid DMV registration. As long as the VIN on the vehicle matches the VIN on the title and reg you are good. The only way you would run into a problem now is if you had to go back to a CHP VIN officer for any reason, such as, if you wrecked it and needed a salvage title, or it got stolen and the VIN was altered by the thief.

I'd be curious to know who the CHP VIN officer was. I probably know him. I lived in San Diego for 5 years. I worked out of Santa Ana but have a lot of friends in the San Diego and Capistrano offices. Oceanside also.
