View Full Version : Rear Mud Flap Mounting questions - it's a 110 but I assume same applies for 90's

Just bought new mud flaps for my D-110 (rhd, diesel). One of the mud flaps was ripped off during some off roading and is totally gone (the bracket also). It looks like the weak point is where it mounts to the fender - not the frame. The alum looks really thin. Does anyone reinforce the fender lip area with more metal or just drill another hole forward of back of the stock hole?

Why not mount it to the rear cross member?

I'd make it removable. That way you wont bugger it up/loose it next time you leave pavement.
