94 starter bendix p/n and where to purchase

Hey all...

My bendix is dragging on my 94 NAS 3.9. I am guessing water intrusion has caused the problem. Does anyone know what the part number is for the bendix and where it can be purchased? I hate to pay $150+ for a starter when all I need is a bendix.

What is a Bendix? If it's part of the starter then you should be able to get it a motor rebuild shop.

Mike, the Bendix is the gear & spring thingy mo bob!

BK you might serve your self well if you remove your starter & clean the whole thing WELL! I have had probs with my D1 starter & thought it was fried & it was just NASTY
