I'm looking for a defender currently and the prices on kelly's blue book seemed way off.. a 1994 d90 with 63000 in pristine condition is only worth 25,000. I wish I could find a price like that

That doesn't seem too far off. I haven't watched Ebay recently, but for a private party, seems fair. I'm not a big fan of KBB, but that one works for me.

Where are you seeing that? I looked in www.kbb.com, and they don't have value (market too small).

I agree... that seems about right to me.
I last remember KBB being way too high for the Defenders, maybe because I was looking at the dealer price, which is always higher than the private party price.

I guess the reason I feel that is a low price is because ive only been looking at dealerships since I am planning on trading my current car in. In my area at a dealership there is a yellow 1994 defender with 63000 for 30,000 and I have yet to see ANY d-90 under 25,000 even some with many miles and rust.

You need to look harder. Lots of them for less than $20k unless you want an automatic girlie garaged grocery getter.;)

There's a guy on this site with a Yellow 95 with 60K and looking to get low twenties. Down it Texas, but still, that price is more in line. Stay away from the dealers if you're looking for a good price. They'll screw you on the D90 price, and you're trade.

Pity about red. This site has a cool 95 in LA, full features but... red
Oh and the rumour that red cars are in more accidents is weak at best. Or does red clash with your eyes? (just kidding. good luck D-90s are the only way to go)
