You could do Florida road in a few hours with no breakages drive south for 45mins stop for lunch by the golf range and do Mabell in the afternoon

Ron, I was interested in maybe doing this, but what do you think about that BSROA post about Eastern 4WD having their big event that weekend? Now that the rangers or some authority closed the water crossing at the end, Fla road is one way in, then turn around and back out... lots of traffic could make it a long day....

Are you still planning on doing it?

Dave,
It all depends on when the BSROA get to the road.
I was planning on a 9:00 start.

I was also thinking of 5 or 6 trucks so we should be able to do it quickly.

As Jimmy said it should only take a couple of hours.

If the BSROA get there first we can jump up to Ma Bell.

Jimmy are you interested in a little off roading before you head out west?

I'd love to but the truck is running well and i'd like to keep it that way for the National Rally:grin .
Iv'e just found out why my truck was over heating,i didn't have a top hose gasket for the sensor when i fitted my electric fans,so i taped it for now.Got new ones from Flex-A-Lite,took off the top hose last night and the tape i used managed to get in to the top of the radiator and was restricting the water flow.Used it at work today and booted it on a 90 min drive and the temp gauge never moved,so hopefully thats fixed.
will think about Florida Road.

My truck gauge shows past the H all the time. Ive replaced the sender, gauge, radiator, fan clutch.
Maybe Ill change the engine next

You might want to do a trial run before the trip out west.

Are you trailering your rig? When are you heading out and coming back ?
Should be about a 30 hour trip one way.
I was thinking of driving out but the 90 has 157 k on it and a slight tick.

A couple guys I know that have Toyota pcikups with 33" tires are intrested in a trail run soon. I met the guy at a gas station just before My T-case went south and offered to take them on a few trails, I think they have winches and stuff, I can pass along the guys phone # if you want Ron? They trailer there trucks out so they don't mind driving out to Western Mass. I won't be around next weekend and my new T-case won't be in from the UK for at least a week.

Directions to FL Road. The most I can remember are:
Florida Road:

Trailhead coordinates:
N 42 37.627
W 73 05.481

Go east on Hoosac St. off of East Road in Adams, MA. Follow uphill
until you see trailhead on the left. Make sure you pull off the road
onto the trail completely to air down.
