anti-sway bars?

So I am thinking that I want to take off my rear anti-sway bar. Will I notice much difference ON the road? I have 33`s, and a 3" lift. Should it matter at all? I figure that the bar is more trouble than it is worth, to take off and put on etc etc. Any difference on road?

Ditch it. It only took Chris and I 20 minutes to take his off at the campground, most of that time was spent looking for the right tools and stuff.

You'll feel a little more body roll in the rear but not much. If you take the front off there is a bigger difference. Ditch the rear, you'll get used to it in a day. Also take the front off and go wheeling... you'll be impressed.

I connect the front for long trips under load, it feels safer on the highway. The rear is useless.

The rear was kinda flimsy when I pulled mine off. I doubt it will make much difference. Now the front one - that was much more beefy and a bigger difference. Took them both off and gave them away. There is a little bit more body roll, but nothing you cant get used to.

Note: I dont drive this thing like a sports car! Its a relatively underpowered truck :grin

When I bought mine it dodn't have an sway bars, I have longer break lines anyway (they are less then $100 for all 3 anyway). And the springs drop out all the time, I have cones in the front and back.

I have neither sways on my truck and dont notice any difference that matters. The truck leans more, but it sure doesnt feel excessive at all. The only wierd thing is the truck will lean left or right if I'm parked on a side slope.

I have had my rear off for a couple of months and noticed about 15% (pulled that number out of my ass) more roll. The amount of roll you get will depend on how stiff your springs are. Obviously the stiffer the spring, the less roll. I have not had a problem with the spring coming unseated. This will depend on your shocks, if you have longer shocks or EE shock mounts, it may. Get EE rear spring retainers, they're awesome. I just took off the front bar, but have yet to drive it as the truck is getting a new engine+. I have new slightly longer shocks in the front and was worried they would come unseated. I had a cone added to the bottom spring seat to keep it from being a problem.

Anyone know if there are cones made for the 110? Been told that the 90 cones don't fit the 110 rear springs....

D110 rear cones are bigger than D90, we have them in stock.

I have a 3" lift and 35's with no sway bars at all. I have no problem.. Like stated earlier, its not a sports car.

I drove a ST with no sways ~3" and 35" I think the guy was running ranchos in the rear with a RW cone setup and fox shocks up front it wasnt a bad ride a little more roll than my stocker SW with front sway bars.

Just took my fronts off, no big difference. If you take a turn too fast you can feel the roll, but for the added articulation it is completely worth it.

It is worth pointing out that the only country where Land Rover sells its curious cars that it chooses to put anti-sway bars on its products, is the US. That should tell you whether you need them at all. In our litigious society where everything that happens to us is someone else's fault we apparently need anti-sway bars. It is exactly that which brought us the Wrangler when the CJ was superior off the beaten path. If you never drive your truck off-road...leave the anti-sway bars on....if you can take responsibility for your own well being....take them off, throw them away, and enjoy your super off-road truck.
