Have any of you guys been to Rausch Creek yet? They are pretty new, but I've heard nothing but good things about the place. The only problem is that you have to set up by reservation only, so it would take some planning if there is any interest in hitting it up? Anyway here is the link:

Oh and happy Holidays:

I went to Rausch Creek a few weeks ago and had a blast. They make you become a member for a year, Each time you go there is a small fee. I'd be up for going back.

I've heard good things about it and wouldn't mind a road trip. Am thinking about a January trip to GW, it's been years since I've been out there. Any interest?

I'm up for GWNF or Shoe Creek or Rausch Creek. Maybe in Jan, pretty sure in Feb or after.
BTW, if you haven't seen the Rausch Creek site, it looks like $10 for an annual membership (for each person) plus $25/day/vehicle and $5/day/passenger.

What's the Cove like? Do I remember right in thinking that it was closed down for a while earlier this year??

They will occasionally close down while the owners go on vacation. There's everything there from dirt roads to SEVERE trails, including several that tube buggies and snipers can't make it up; you can break as much as you want to . Oh, and there's camping as well, which makes it very nice.

Did anyone ever check this place out? How would it be for a group trip in March?

I've been there a couple of times, you couldn't ask for more. The only downside is the cover charge which ranges from $35-$75. Well worth it as far as I'm concerned.

$75?! What would they charge you $75 for?

Their line is that it has to do with insurance, but it's really just extortion. Still the best wheeling around.

Which place are we talking about? Rausch Creek or The Cove and where is the Cove anyway?

The Cove: http://www.vvalley.com/cove/
If you just turn up and say you want to wheel, you're gonna be met with blank stares. Trips need to be prearranged, though if there's interest, I can work on it.

Feb is kinda busy for me. March is the earliest I could do
Was thinking about getting the New Englanders and the Mid-Atlantic-ers together in PA in late March. Tyler, Tony, you guys up for that? Question would be whether to go to Paragon or Rausch Creek.
