Hello,

Looking for a distributor for a 1995. I understand that they are difficult to get. Anyone ever find a non-LR distributor to fit? Does the Range Rover 95 fit? The dealership says that mine may be going. So I said thanks and drove away.

Mallory and MSD both make models that work. Try talking with Sam at Century Performance. If you want a land rover one, I have one that I would make you a deal on (used, but works fine--I am running a Mallory).

I think I am going to go with the Mallory Dist. Thanks.

Accell has also come out recently with a Dual-Sync for the buick/rover, not sure of compatiblity or advantages yet. Mallory would be the easiest, as it can just drop in and mate up with the factory ECU and no extra boxes needed.

Chris... did they handle the gear changeover for you? or did you do that yourself? (Or did you even need it?)

Darrin. Do you have serpentine belts or V-belts on your engine?

I did it myself. I was told the hole was already in the shaft, but in reality, it was not. I had it drilled for the gear (they give directions with the distributor) and that was that.

Also, the Unilite/espark module replaces the ignition module altogether. Now, all I need to do is carry an extra e-spark module (it senses when the rotor passes and is $36 at summit). I have yet to replace it, though.
