Greasing up the drive shafts this morning, like you do after a heavy mud offroad session and found the engine and gearbox mounts all sheared!
They only lasted about 20 years!:eek:

Holy Crap! what you going to do?

Jack up the gearbox, drop out the mounts,slide in new ones, bolt it back up, move on to the engine department. do the same there. Curse and swear 'cause nothing will line up and I'll be freezing cold, leaver on bits of Landrover with a lump of 4x2 to make things fit properly. jump about when it does line up and walk around feeling pleased with myself when the job's done.
Ordinary sort of LR maintenance weekend.
At least the engine & gearbox didn't actually
a) fall out
b) fly through the rad while offroading

c) tear all the wiring to bits and catch everything on fire while doing either of the above.
So I count myself lucky
and I'll pobably replace the mounts on the 110 before anything bad happens there too
