97 White D-90 SW, 48k miles - first buyer gets it

I have a 1997 White D90 SW for sale with 48k miles. This vehicle is in immaculate shape, particularly on the inside. It has brand new springs and shocks, tires are good, brand new front skid plate (unused, this vehicle has seen very little dirt in its lifetime). Paint is in spectacular condition, with just a few brushed scratches on the black part of the fenders. I would guess this vehicle had fewer than 20k miles if I inspected it. The previous owner had it for less than 3 months, poured a bunch of money into it servicing it and bolting on some accessories (i.e. spare tire carrier, skid plate) never drove it, then decided to sell it.

Chris is right. Listed on eBay and actually SOLD on eBay are 2 completely different things. If he's not in a hurry, he might get that price...but be prepared to sit on it for awhile. But because he said

He'll be lucky to get that asking price. For that price you can get a pretty decent 110. I think it was Jeromy Landers that was selling his 110 for around that much (which is cheap for a 110) but still had to hang on it for awhile. I don't even know if it sold yet.

I sold my 1995 d=90 yellow st with 58000 miles for $29980. You don't think a 97 with 48k miles HT is worth 6500 more than that? That was the first time I listed it on e-bay at that.

Glen I sold the 110 on eBay for $41544.44 (plus $1k extra for the seats), eBay is a strange place, one day you might get top dollar and the next you can't even get wholesale prices.

I think a lot of people (like people who read this board) are looking to steal a defender and don't mind one in rough condition if the price and miles are right. So I don't blame anyone for thinking $36k is high.

BUT, if a pristine truck is a rarity (which it is, isn't it?), it is worth more - to the right buyer at the right time.

For what it is worth, I bought my 1995 D-90 with 41,000 on the clock last year for 28,000. It was form Arizona and spent it's entire life in the south so absolutly no rust issues. Great deals can be had if you look hard enough.

this seems like a decent deal for a well kept d90 wagon. Im looking at another one for sale, white, excellent condition, 56k miles, but with full safari rack, front brush bar and hella lights for 39k.

35k sounds pretty damn good.
