I've got a nasty metal on metal sound comming intermitantly from the right front wheel. It goes away for about 100 miles after I stop and push the wheel back and forth. Any Ideas? I'm thinking its the wheel bearing. What parts do i need if I have to replace the wheel bearing?

my was doing that. it could be your brakes as well a wheel bearing is more consistant. I just had my truck in the shop and got a clean bill of health so I am not worried.. this has been talked about a few threads down in the brake pad replacement thread.

Thanks. I did the normal jack the wheel up and push on it and it didn't move so I'm guessing its the brakes. While on the topic I checked under the hood and found that the brake resivor cover was loose and that the wires were not connected to the cap. Normaly I wouldn't be too worried but Sat I drove through a river with water comming out from under the hood. Anyone know what wire goes to which connector on the cap?

Check the stone guard too while you are under there for any rubbing against the brake disc.

I think the 2 wires on the cap are interchangeable.

yeah i think those wires are worthless, they "monitor" the amount of fluid in the resevoir and make a light on the dash blink when the amount gets low.
