IMO Ma Bell is also a great trail for snow runs.
FYI there is a BSROA run occuring in the Amherst, Ma area tomorrow - Saturday October 28th. If I have time I am going to do Ma Bell at the end of the day as a night run.

I could probably do either. You know we can do both in a single day...
As long as Mike isn't driving.

October 28th, 2005, 12:24 PM
HEY! I did both in a single day, and in my 90! :grin I think that's Jimmy's plan to do both in one day, he is just offering either day on the weekend. Man Dave when was the last time we both had our trucks on the same trail? Pargon? Maybe Winter Romp 04?

Mike I can do either day. But I may have to run with a disco with no front winch.
Why is your boss putting you on a plane? Did you say something inappropriate to him?

Jimmy Im in if the defender starts....
Been having some issue with starting after we went roading last time I replaced the cap rotor plugs and wires and it started right up.
Drove down the street to put some gas in it and smoke started coming from under the hood. My first thought was oil lines. Then I heard a squealling noise like wet belts. I turned around for home and opened the hood to see my alternator belt gone.
My alternator seized causing the belt to fail.
Got a new altenator and belts.
Turned the key and it started right up.
Im leaving the gas staion and it wont start.
Jigled my fuel pump fuse and it started.
I get it home and park it .
I deceide I want to put it in the garage for the night and it wont start.
Jigle the fuse no go.
Then I tap the coil and it starts.
So I ordered a new coil from RN.
I'm hoping that does it or i'll be driving a lifted disco.
See you at 8:30
are you heading out route 2?

I have been on a couple of other trails in the area.
Old Chester Road takes about an hour to drive down and 4 hours to drive up. Most of the trail is rocks like that section you just walked up.
The other trail is Ma Bell. That takes about 3 hours to do and there is just one tough obstacle of ledge.
Next time your up we can do those.

I believe it is west of North Hampton.
Not a bad trail. You can do it in about 2 hrs if theres no traffic.
