Ashcroft underdrive

Anyone running the Ashcroft underdrive unit?

Or do you know of anyone who is using one? Are they noisy and do they hold up well?

I know someone using one. It is not noisy and seems to hold up just fine although he just finished a frame off resto 3-4 months ago.

Randy I talked with Dave at Ashcroft about these a little, and I'm sure he'll chime in here as he checks in on the forum now and then. But They are I belive near the same as the older ones from a few years ago with only a few mods to make them better. You know what happend with my T-case from them, I am very happy with the part and their service, I would not hesitate to buy another product from them. Noah, the guy who bought ECR 3 has an original underdrive on his 90, it worked well the few times I saw it used and ran quiet.

Do you guys know what kind of shifter and linkage works well. Seems like I read somewhere that a Classic Rangie lever of some kind works. Maybe it was the diff lock lever?

the last batch are the best ones we have made, they have all worked OK but the design evolves each time we make them,

we fitted one a few weeks ago and used the Disco II cable operated high/low linkage to actuate it, worked very well,
