What was this?

I got back from vacation and was driving the D-90 home. I turned on the wipers for about 10 seconds. Once I turned the wipers off there was a constant clicking noise coming from behind the instrument panel. I pulled over and restarted the truck. Noise went away. Is this something I should be worried about and does anyone know what this could be?
