Anyone running these (Hella H4 replacement bulbs) or something similar?

Thanks,

I'm running the H4s ... big improvement over stock. Price them out, though. I found mine at 1/2 retail from a local garage.

Yes, they're great. Dunno what it means, but I think I remember mine being iCODEs.

I have sylvania xtravisions.

The were like $25 for the pair.

If you get the hellas make sure to seal the bulb holder real good, otherwise they look like fishbowls. I have seen this on a couple trucks. Xtravisions are sealed. I had them next to the hellas and they were similar. The main difference was the pattern of the light. Hella was a much sharper cut off.

E-code = European code kinda like DOT I think. I have the Hella E-codes, they are much better then stock.

Is anyone running these on their daily driver. It said that they weren't DOT approved. Would it be obvious enough that you could get pulled over and ticketed? I hate the stock lamps.

Nearly a year on my 90 and I have not been pulled over once for them. This is my only ride.

I have had them on my truck for about two years. I did not know they were not DOT approved. THe light output is much better than stock and I have had no problems with the police.
