From Phil:

"is it an all out race or what? how long is it?"

Go to www.offroadexperience.com. NVTR info is linked on the left hand menu.

The Nevada Trophy is a navigational rally, but since it's impossible to get ALL the waypoints within the time limits, speed of operation, correct navigation, and outright determination are vital ingredients to winning. With hard mounted computers on board, and total uncertainty of the roads, etc., this event is not driven like the Baja, however!

Looks like there will be two events this coming year, one in March and one in October. The March event will be 36 hrs. The October will be 12 hours.

We plan on doing both -- let me know if you have more questions!

Best,

Doug Walker

Doug,

I am going through the galleries in the links from the older thread. Can you guys post some close up pictures of how you mounted the laptops in the 90 and 110 if you have a chance.

Phil, each set of waypoint coordinates has a different value. High values are for waypoints that are hard to reach or difficult to find. Most points wins. There are also special tasks that count for a lot -- you can read about them if you dig around the NVTR site listed above.

Happy New Year!!!
